What is Powder Coating

The Powder Coating Process

.

powder-coating-phoenixPowder coating is an advanced method of applying a protective and decorative finish to a large variety of materials and products. Our powder coating process uses a solvent free dry mix of plastic resins, pigments and fillers that are electrostatically charged in a spray gun. The pigments and fillers are then sprayed to the surface of the piece to be coated by Amalfi Powder Coating technicians. The electrostatic charge holds the powder particles in place while the powder coated item is cured in the oven. The heat in our oven causes a chemical reaction to occur and the powder to cure, creating a highly durable finish.

A powder coating finish is attractive in appearance and finish. Many people prefer powder coating over liquid paint because of it’s durability. Clients often tell us they prefer powder coating their items because they are more resistant to scratches, corrosion, color fading, chemical and weather conditions. Amalfi Powder Coating located in Phoenix can powder coat just about anything: automotive parts, bicycle frames, household goods, fences, furniture, etc. If you have a chance visit our gallery here.
